Emerging Palliative Issues: American Indians/Alaska Natives
Palliative Care Week 2008 Dr. Kitzes received her medical degree from Medical College of Pennsylvania and Masters of Public Health from Harvard University School of Public Health. Dr. Kitzes also received Palliative Care training through Oxford International Centre for Palliative Care in Oxford, England under the tutelage of Dr. Robert Twycross and is board certified in the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and Public Health and Preventive Medicine. Dr. Kitzes is an editor of the textbook Hospice and Palliative Care, Concepts and Principles Second Edition, Jones and Bartlett Publishers, 2003 and has authored articles and book chapters relevant to palliative care issues in American/Alaska Native communities.
