Using Problem-based Learning as an Instructional Pedagogy: Innovation or Conundrum?
Dr. Kevin Rudeen is Dean and Stuart C. Miller Professor of the College of Allied Health. He has established a successful research program investigating the effects of maternal alcohol consumption on neural development and received a Research Scientist Development Award from NIAAA. He is one of the 'architects' of the very successful Problem-based Learning (PBL) curriculum initiated in 1993 at the University of Missouri School of Medicine and used in their School of Health Professions. Dr. Rudeen has extensive experience in case development and facilitation in various educational & workshop settings.
