Humanities in the Curriculum
Dr. Vannatta has created a curriculum to teach literature in medicine at the undergraduate Honors college in Norman as well as in the medical school environment. He is co-author of a book length DVD on the use of literature in the teaching of medicine, and is the author of several papers relating to the humanities in medicine. Learning Objectives Following Dr. Vannatta's presentation: 1. The learner will understand the importance of the teaching of humanities in medical education. 2. The learner will see a demonstration of the teaching of literature in medical education.
